Black Female Interior Designers
"If you are filled with pride, then you will have no room for wisdom." ~ African proverb
The BFID group is a support group for professional designers, student designers, aspiring designers and self taught designers. This group was created after my search for a support network of like-minded designing women; who looked like me and shared similar experiences was unsuccessful. After not finding what I needed I took a leap of faith and create the Black Female Interior Designers. I believed that there were other other professionals out there like me seeking a support network they too could call home. They say, "If you build it, they will come." And surely, they came with open arms and open hearts. It was amazing to discover just how many women there were searching for what I was now able to offer. Together we've built a sisterhood that encourages our creative expression and growth. We love to mingle, celebrate, laugh, support and share our projects and designing experiences with each other. We are the students, mother's, wives, sisters and friends of the future and we just so happen to have one thing in common, Interior design.
